artmonte-carlo 2024

6 - 7 July 2024
Overview

Robilant+Voena is pleased to return to artmonte-carlo, with a presentation featuring 20th-century Italian and international artists, alongside a selection of established and emerging contemporary artists.

Reflecting the gallery’s specialism in Post-War Italian art, R+V will exhibit pioneering ceramics and paintings by Lucio Fontana, with works by Enrico CastellaniGiorgio Morandi and Emilio Vedova. Complementing this selection, the booth features works by giants of the international modern art scene, including Alexander Calder, Alex Katz, René Magritte and Andy Warhol.

Highlights of the contemporary side are two contrasting Spot Paintings by Damien Hirst – including a rare example with a black background – alongside a pastel by Nicolas Party and a marble sculpture by Barry X Ball, who has previously created solid-gold portraits of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, that are in the collections at the Palais Princier of Monaco. These established names will be joined by talented artists who work closely with R+V, including bronze sculptures by Harumi Klossowska de Rola, textile sculptures by Spanish artist Sergio Roger and a large abstract oil painting by Cuban-American artist Cesar Santos.
