Notable Sale

The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, Vassar College, New York, has recently made acquired The Finding of Moses, an important work by Florentine Baroque painter Jacopo Vignali (1592–1664).

Signed and dated 1625, the painting is documented as having been executed as a commission for a member of the Pucci family, and was destined for the Villa Pucci di Granaiolo where it remained until the middle of the 1960s, from thence passing to a private collection in Montecatini.
