Born in Venice in 1997, Vittorio Marella is a young painter who lives and works between Venice and London. Marella has painted and drawn since childhood, selling his first commissioned canvas to the renowned actor Matthew Fox at the age of 17, but after graduating from high school he abandoned painting and studied Astrophysics for four years at the University of Padua. Space remains one of his main interests; however after his academic scientific studies he decided to pursue his true vocation in art. In 2020, after a further year of studying History and Archaeology (Ca' Foscari University), Marella devoted himself to his artistic production.
Since then, Marella has worked with many galleries in Italy and beyond, including across Europe, in Asia and the United States. He has participated in international fairs and group exhibitions, including institutional shows at the Museo degli Eremitani, Padua, the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam and the Museum of Palazzo Merulana, Rome. In 2024, he was invited to meet the Pope during his first visit to the Biennale amongst a carefully selected group of artists and the same year he participated in the 60th edition of the Venice Art Biennale, Foreigners everywhere. His first solo institutional exhibition was held at the Mart Museum, Rovereto, in 2025, which featured his largest painting to date (5.5 x 10.5 m).
